Using Electric Pressure Washers for Restaurant Cleaning

Using Electric Pressure Washers for Restaurant Cleaning
The main advantage of electric pressure washers is they do not give off any exhaust like pressure washing machines with combustion engines do. This property makes them an ideal choice for cleaning the floor, kitchen, bathrooms, and other premises of restaurants and hotels.

Choose Right Specifications
There are three important specifications to look for when purchasing gas or electric pressure washers. These are output pressure, temperature, and flow rate.

Output Pressure
Output pressure varies up to 8000 psi, depending upon the model. The higher the pressure, the more cleaning power the machine has. However, for cleaning restaurants, one does not need a machine with an output pressure more than 3000 psi. Higher pressure levels will result in a higher water usage, which may not be adequate for indoor use. High pressure levels may also damage more delicate surfaces.

Output Temperature
Electric pressure washers can be purchased three kinds of output temperature -- cold water (at room temperature), hot water (up to 210°F), and steam (up to 330°F). As in the case for pressure levels, the higher the temperature, the higher will be the cleaning efficiency. However, a high temperature output may not be suitable for use on all kinds of surfaces. Therefore, it is better to opt for tri-mode machines, which provide all three outputs.

Flow Rate
In the normal sense, it is better to have a machine with a high-flow rate, as the cleaning efficiency too will be high. For cleaning restaurants, a high-flow rate machine may not be ideal. If more water is passed to the surface, it will take a long time for the surface to dry. In areas with limited drainage, high flow rates can also present a problem.

Other Features
The latest models of electric pressure washers provide many extra features. For example, Daimer®, a well-known supplier of cleaning products, provides pressure washing machines with AST® technology. It allows the operator to switch off and on the motor and pump of the machine through the trigger gun . For more details, visit www.daimer.com.
